This 3V lithium battery is used to retain internal memory data in the Roland RD 1000, allowing stored settings and parameters to remain available when the instrument is powered off.
The battery corresponds to the original type installed in the RD 1000 and is fitted with welded tabs for direct mounting on the circuit board. Panasonic lithium battery.
