This product is no longer in stock
The P8031AH is a classic Intel MCS-51 based 8-bit CPU / microcontroller, supplied in a 40-pin DIP package.
It contains the full CPU core but no internal program ROM, and therefore operates with external memory. This design made it widely used as a main system CPU in professional embedded and musical instruments during the 1980s.
The P8031AH is found in several well-known vintage synthesizers and keyboards, including:
Roland JX-3P
Roland JX-8P
Roland JX-10 Super JX
Roland Jupiter-6
Roland MKS-70 / MKS-80
Kawai SX-240
Crumar Bit 99
360 Systems MIDI Bass
In these instruments, the P8031AH CPU manages essential system functions such as voice scanning, front-panel control, display handling, MIDI communication, and real-time control or sequencing tasks.
Ideal for vintage repair, restoration, or authentic replacement where original specifications are required.
